I am kind of into smoothies right now. Actually, obsessed! I don’t know if it is the hot weather, or the fact that we just got a Vitamix, but I am going to be making a lot of new combinations in the future. Should I rename this blog Smoothie serendipity??? Okay, well, if you don’t have a Vitamix or a high speed blender, you can’t make my green smoothie very well because it won’t be as smooth. Maybe you just don’t want kale and spinach in your drink. Or you have a strawberry abundance? This fruity smoothie is loaded with fruit! You can even drop the applesauce by one half of a cup and the milk by one cup to create a sorbet! As long as your fruits are frozen, you can use basically any fruit! If you don’t have raspberry, you can sub strawberry. If you don’t have frozen fruit you could try dropping the liquid substantially and adding ice. Or you could just freeze some fresh fruit! I used rice milk because we didn’t have any other alternative milk around, but soy, almond, or cashew would work, too. Note: Honeydew melon (Not frozen) might work well in place of the applesauce. Yet the another note 🙂 : You can add a carrot in place of some of the fruit you can not taste it, I promise!

So, do you want a smoothie? You can make it with any blender, from magic bullets to the type they use on creamy Jif peanut butter.
Prep time: Five minutes
|2 cups||Frozen strawberries|
Applesauce (preferably unsweetened)
Nondairy milk (Or any other alternative milk, cow’s milk, or yoghurt)
Step 1:Pour your milk and applesauce into the blender. Add all the frozen fruit.
Step 2:Turn the blender on and blend until you get a nice, smooth consistency.
