‘Green’ Smoothie (Dairy and gluten free)

IMG_20160417_172807Smoothies are really cool! You can load them with fruits and veggies and they just taste like a slightly sweet drink! In this ‘green’ smoothie you can’t taste the kale or spinach, only fruity yuminess! You need only a few simple ingredients and a high speed blender to make this your favorite daily snack! Toss the ingredients into the blender, blend, and enjoy!

IMG_20160417_172046 Note: Home grown fresh kale is best, but store bought works too!


Serves: 2-3
Prep Time: 5-10 minutes


1 ½ cups Nondairy milk
½ cup Applesauce
½ cup Firmly packed kale
1 cup Firmly packed spinach
1 cup Frozen mango chunks
1 cup Frozen peach chunks
1 cup Frozen pineapple chunks


Step 1:    Go out to your garden and harvest any produce you can use in this recipe. Fresh is always best!
Step 2:    Pour the rice milk and applesauce into your blender. Throw in the kale and spinach. Next add all the fruits.
Step 3:    Turn your blender on low and slowly increase it to high until your incredible smoothie is smooth!
Step 4: Enjoy!!!

      Should be ‘greener’ this time! 😊 (I made the huge mistake of putting strawberries and blueberries into a green smoothie. The result was and amazing flavor and an awful color.
